See VIDEO An Introduction to DeEvolution Lifestyle's Native American Flutes.

When I was 21 I traveled for 6 months around the Pacific Rim. In the woods I could navigate with comfort. In cities around the world…well, it’s just remarkable I survived. Half of my backpack was allotted for beer. Nearly the rest for ramen noodles and to the outside was tethered my flute. Such is the grip the Native American flute and its tones have on me. I played in youth hostels from Auckland to Bangkok, repulsing all who would listen.

Carrying a trumpet into the bush just doesn’t seem right. But a melodic, light, packable and durable flute absolutely is in harmony with the crackling of a fire. Hence my desire to build one. Which became two. Made only for DeEvolution by a master flute player and builder of the Montana Blackfeet Indian nation.

The Solo is an 18 inch, 5-hole flute in the key of A, made from Curly Maple. It comes with a handmade padded leather case. Flute plus case weighs 11 ounces.

The Serenade is a 24 inch, 6-hole flute in the key of F, made of Spalted Birch. It comes with a handmade non-padded leather case. Flute plus case weighs 16 ounces.

The sound from these flutes is beautiful. They are easy to play, regardless of your musical background. Simply cover each hole fully, and commence lifting fingers in a manner guided by your innate creativity.

Includes a basic fingering chart and instructions.
